Job Details:

Purpose

This position will join a team supporting UT Health Austin operations leadership to provide centralized expertise in process improvement, change management, and data analysis to support new and ongoing projects vital to the continuous improvement of the clinical enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and evaluate assigned projects and plans with emphasis on time schedule control, coordination of project development and implementation, and communication with designated clients and other stakeholders. Utilize accepted project management methodologies and tools and change management principles. Develop project plans including project life cycle, budgets, resource requirements, change management processes, risk management, key milestones, communication mechanisms, test plans and deliverables.

  • Work closely with designated clients keeping them informed of progress against plan. Prepare detailed reports on project progress with clients to include project plans, barriers and solutions, milestones, financial costs/projections and analyses.

  • Support the optimization team with an ability to analyze existing systems and business processes in order to guide and align to the organization's key priorities. Assist in breaking down complex business problems, developing solutions and delivering with a high degree of focus. Coordinate logistics for meetings and project groups and capture concise minutes from project meetings such that stakeholders are clear regarding next steps and action items. Create workflow maps, dashboards, requirement gathering exercises, discovery assessment presentations, and other deliverables to enhance leadership decision making.

  • Collaborate with enterprise IT team to access various data systems and dashboards.

  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with the ability to process complex information, break into logical steps/tasks to help solve defined problems, and present it clearly to a range of audiences.

  • Implement training and education programs for team members impacted by process improvements and program changes.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of project / data analysis experience, with demonstrated project organization skills, including the ability to multi-task, balance priorities, set and manage timelines for deliverables. Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Visio with the proven ability to produce professional documents in MS Power Point and develop complex Excel models. Demonstrated analytical skills, problem solving ability and strong critical thinking skills. High degree of self-motivation and ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff tactfully, clearly, and concisely. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, demanding andfluid work environment.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or another related field. Project management, change management, or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. Familiarity with health care delivery, especially value-based health care delivery models and relevant metrics, including patient-reported outcome measures. Understanding of clinical workflows and experience with performance improvement in clinical settings.

Salary Range

$90,000+ depending on qualifications
