GENERAL PURPOSE

Creates and leads MillerKnoll brand's vision, editorial direction and creative expression.

Partners with marketing leadership to build brand's campaigns and messages, builds and drives an editorial calendar that aligns with and supports brand strategy.

Drives creative that grows brand awareness, engagement and affinity.

Leads editorial and art direction teams that fulfill the brand's initiatives as well as the channel marketing teams marketing briefs.

Synthesizes and shapes content that supports campaigns and initiatives, building a consistent and premium brand perception.

Essential Functions

  • Builds and consistently communicates the brand's vision, voice, look and feel.

  • Directs the creation of MillerKnoll global integrated campaigns to align with brand strategy.

  • Directs the work and manages the output of internal editorial and brand creative teams, driving a culture of collaboration.

  • Partners with other brand leaders and creative operations to streamline processes and maximize productivity.

  • Partners with Brand, Communications and Contract Marketing teams to understand strategic goals of both the brands and business units.

  • Partners with HR and Communications teams to align internal and external brand communications.

  • Partners with marketing, creative and brand leaders from across MillerKnoll brands and business units to establish best practices and to build awareness of creative and brand work underway across the business. Regularly communicates with global peers to support current initiatives and standards, and to identify opportunities to leverage ideas and content.

  • Builds social media content and partners with marketing teams to execute in global channels.

  • Represents key concepts and work internally to leadership. Assumes responsibility for the delivery of high performing, brand aligned creative.

  • Researches and maintains knowledge of emerging themes in the worlds of design and culture.

  • Serves as expert on the MillerKnoll brand.

  • Develops direct reports and broader team; estimating personnel needs, prioritizing and assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies and technologies.

  • Understands the total marketing landscape and brings best creative practices for all types of campaigns and communications.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Art, Design, Communications, Editorial or other relevant discipline.

  • 15+ years' of experience in progressive, professional level creative roles.

  • 5 - 10 years' relevant experience of creative leadership.

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud apps, Figma, Miro, and digital design.

A starting compensation range for this role is $164,000.00 - $212,475.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
