NAVAIR Systems Administrator, Journey - Secret Clearance

A week in the life of a System Administrator (Journey):

• Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
• Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users
• Provide technical assistance to computer users.
• Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network system
• Perform maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
• Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and capabilities
• Respond to unexpected or unauthorized service interruptions and outages
• Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution
• Implement and ensure security preventive measures are fully functioning

• Must have current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret. Interim TS to start. US Citizenship required.
• 8-10 years of experience with Linux
• COMPTIA Security+ or other DOD INST 8570 compliant qualification required.
• Operating system certification (i.e. Windows or Linux)
• Knowledge of networking principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative principles and concepts.
• Work environment is on-site, not hybrid or remote

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is$90,000-120,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
