People * Customers * Trust RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow all safety rules and policies, make suggestions to improve safety and look for fellow employee's safety. Work to improve our safety culture. Be able to start up, run, and shut down all fab and assembly equipment, currently slitter #1, offline PSA, pallet saw, band saw, die press, and when in operation. Ensure the quality of product produced in all regards, such as slit positions and depth, dimensions, labeling, and packaging. Train and direct temporary employees when needed Run all equipment as efficiently as possible while working to continuously improve set up time, speed, and waste. Understand and handle all aspects of paperwork and data, such as quality check sheets, drawings, BOL's, data entry into HOMS or similar software. Be open to trying new ideas, all the time Have and encourage very strong teamwork between departments. Ensure lines of responsibility are blurred between departments. Other duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Good communication skills Read at an acceptable level Must be able to do basic math including multiplication and division Must be able to work overtime and weekends and holidays as needed PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience operating corrugated printing equipment. Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment, with an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.
