The Food/Product Safety Site Leader I enforces and monitors the compliance of established food safety and quality procedures to comply with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with HAACP/GMP program and ISO quality system through internal audits, document control, and driving continuous improvement.
- Manage the site's microbiological environmental control program.
- Coordinate and own the site's pest control program.
- Enforce personal hygiene practices and all food safety programs. Train new hires on food safety regulations, policies, and standards.
- Support QMS improvement initiatives in the South Brunswick organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences preferred, Bachelor's degree required.
- 2+ years' experience in a food, chemical, or manufacturing environment with a minimum of two years of experience in quality control or quality assurance functions.
- Knowledge of common microbiological requirements for food, manufacturing, and chemistry is required.
- Maintaining site SOPs and ETQ (in QMS).
- PCQI, HACCP certification, GMP, and FSSC knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of kosher and halal requirements is preferred.
