Scope of work

Under minimal supervision, plans and implements creative outings, and social and recreational activities for residents in Oak Court and Terrace. Orders necessary supplies for those activities and maintains all work areas in a neat and orderly fashion. Assess all residents; determines individual interests in physical, creative and spiritual needs. Motivates and assists residents to attend activities and offers positive reinforcement of the programs offered. Provides directions, instruction and demonstrations to individuals and groups in any resident activity. Provides staff and volunteers with directions and training as needed to assist in implementing programs and activities.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, required.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in activities or a related field, required. Preferably in a geriatric setting
