We are currently searching for highly qualified Data Analysts to support these projects. Responsibilities

Data Specialist Responsibilities

In this role, you will deploy to disaster sites to support FEMA or other government entities in the delivery of disaster recovery programs such as the Public Assistance (PA) program or the FEMA Individual Assistance (IA) Direct Housing program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    Data mining, analysis, maintenance and manipulation
  • Entering data into electronic databases and spreadsheets
  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
  • Transitioning data between multiple systems and applications
  • Training personnel on the spreadsheets and/or databases
  • Preparing reports using Microsoft PowerPoint and Power BI
  • Developing and maintaining electronic dashboards to present data
  • Other administrative and clerical activities related to the disaster mission


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • High School diploma required; A bachelor's degree in a related field of study from an accredited university is preferred
  • Minimum (2) two years of full-time, demonstrated experience with work involving data analysis, mining, reporting, and predictive modeling
  • Experience creating data visualization tools such as web-based dashboards and working with the various data-related coding language or software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills
  • Energetic, organized and detailed-oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment under stressful conditions
  • The ability to work up to 12 hours per day, 7 days a week while deployed to a disaster recovery operation for up to 12 months
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Be a U.S. citizen capable of passing a federal background investigation to obtain a Public Trust clearance
