Starting rate of pay: $ 29.63 per hour; Shift differential $ 1.30 per hour for working 2nd or 3rd Shift

PTO - 120 hours (3 Weeks)

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Finisher position is critical in the manufacturing of quality products that meet customer requirements. This position reports to the Production Supervisor in the assigned work area. Finishers are responsible for performing activities outlined below:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)


  • Setup Work Area

    • Prepare paint booth, paint pumps, pressure pots and guns.
    • Properly handle paints, coating and bonding agents.
    • Verify that products are properly blasted, cleaned and/or masked.


  • Mix Paint and Epoxy

    • Select and prepare required paint type and color according to job packet and paint specifications.


  • Apply Paint and Coatings According to Specifications, Manufacturing Guidelines and Internal Procedures

    • Verify that the product meets quality requirements per internal procedures.
    • Follow non-conforming product procedure requirements.
    • De-mask, properly handle and identify finished products.


  • Adjust, Clean and Maintain Equipment per Manufacturing Guidelines and Internal Procedures



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred background in manufacturing of products.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolonged standing, reaching, pulling, lifting of valve assembly components
  • Bending, kneeling when loading and unloading valves to the assembly workbench
  • Lifting, twisting and bending to put materials away and moving completing valves
  • Minimal typing/data entry



WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Working conditions consist mainly of work with paint equipment, overhead hoists and active material handling equipment.
  • Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including: respirator, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes, safety glasses and other PPE depending on the task.
  • Employees are expected to work with all third part visitors (e.g. vendors, inspectors, liaisons, auditors, visitors in a professional manner).
