Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager with expertise in manufacturing finance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of production variances, PPV (Purchase Price Variance), POV (Production Order Variance), manufacturing absorption, cost accounting, supply chain management, and inventory controls. This role acts as the financial liaison to the manufacturing and supply chain organizations, working closely to improve productivity, saving, reduce scraping and prepare their budgets. involves performing various activities related to manufacturing finance and FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis).The position reports to the CFO Cardiac Assist and is based in Wayne, NJ, with approximately 3 days a week.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties



  • Manufacturing Finance Activities:

    • Master knowledge of production variances, including PPV and POV.
    • Manage manufacturing absorption and costing accounting.
    • Oversee supply chain management and inventory controls.
    • Analyze and report on manufacturing variances and their impact on financial performance.
    • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize production processes and reduce costs.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of manufacturing financial data.
    • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives in the manufacturing process.
    • Monitor and control manufacturing overhead costs.
    • Conduct regular reviews of production costs and variances to identify areas for improvement.


  • FP&A Activities:

    • Lead the financial planning and analysis process for the manufacturing and supply chain areas.
    • Prepare and present financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
    • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators.
    • Support the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.




Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in manufacturing finance.
  • Strong knowledge of production variances, PPV, POV, manufacturing absorption, and cost accounting.
  • Experience in supply chain management and inventory controls.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Self starter with strong drive for results and a demonstrated passion for understanding and meeting customer requirements.
  • Effective communicator that can influence a complex matrix organization at varying leadership levels.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), including Microsoft office suite



The base salary for the position is a minimum of $144,000 and a maximum of $165,000, plus annual bonus of 25%
