Assistant Professor of Latinx Studies, Hispanic Studies Department

The Davidson College Hispanic Studies Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in U.S. Latinx Studies at the assistant professor level, beginning July 1, 2025. We seek a Hispanist with demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate education and mentorship, including teaching Spanish as a second and/or heritage language, whose research and teaching program explores US Latinx literary and cultural studies. Preference will be given to applicants with research programs that focus on performance studies, theater, film, or visual studies. Priority will be given to candidates with the potential to advance institutional goals in inclusive teaching and scholarship.
