The Senior Training & Quality Specialist will be responsible for planning, creating, and executing advanced training programs throughout all phases for the maximum effectiveness in meeting strategic goals and achieving superior customer service results. Lead efforts to assess current and future training and development needs, work collaboratively to ensure understanding of performance needs, requirements, and expectations. Conduct ongoing training on products, systems, and other procedures.

Responsibilities
    Effectively develop and deliver practical, timely and innovative training programs and resources that demonstrably enhance the productivity and deepen the skill set, functional expertise, and capabilities of the Operations staff.
  1. Design courses using instructional design methods online classroom or blended that best suit the content and desired learning outcomes.
  2. Conducts need assessments to diagnose talent needs by using professional consulting skills, such as utilizing surveys, focus groups interviews, direct job observation and review of existing organizational data. Communicate with all Managers/Supervisors, as necessary, to ensure needs are being met and training remains current.
  3. Coordinate training sessions with employee's managers, IT department (when necessary), schedule conference rooms and equipment required for formal, effective training sessions.
  4. Document and assist with developing department policies, procedures, training manuals, and handouts to ensure that the resources are delivered effectively to staff.
  5. Collaborates the development and delivery of training to enhance effectiveness and capabilities of Operations leaders.
  6. Serves as the Training and Quality team representative on assigned organizational change initiatives; develops comprehensive curriculum and implementation plans for the initiatives.
  7. Maintains training records including position competency assessments, needs analysis findings and program participation for both in-house and external training programs.
  8. Contributes to the development of Learning and Development staff through peer evaluations, group learning sessions and train-the-trainer workshops.
  9. Measures results of in-house training programs using Kirkpatrick's model of evaluation.
  10. Lead the resolution of complex problems or procedural issues, as directed.
  11. Keep up with developments in area of expertise by reading current journals, books and magazine articles.
  12. Process all other duties as assigned by department management.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Distance Learning, or related field, preferred
  • LOMA-ACS designation preferred

Experience/Knowledge

  • 5+ years of training and development experience (designing, developing, and presenting adult learning philosophies) or similar position.
  • 3+ years' experience with change management, organizational development, performance management, talent management and learning & development.
  • 3+ years' experience with eLearning content creation tools such as Articulate Studio/Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, and basic coding for web (HTML, CSS, Javascript).
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting consultative needs analyses and implementing scalable training programs across broad and differing business units.
  • Knowledge of life insurance products and concepts preferred.

What's in it for you?

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $76,600 - $105,325 annually.

The total compensation package for this position may include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, long term incentives, and annual bonuses. This role is eligible to participate in the Legal & General America Annual Incentive Plan. The current target payment for the position is 8% of base salary, modified for corporate and individual performance. Bonuses are pro-rated based on start date. This role has 15 vacation days and 10 sick days that are accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Employees also have 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
