About the Department |
The Department of Life and Earth Sciences (
LES) at Perimeter College encompasses coursework in biology, environmental science, geology, integrated sciences and neuroscience. Academic pathways in Biology and Geology are available through the department, but our courses also support other academic interests, such as chemistry, health- related fields, environmental science, medicine and education.
Limited-term instructor positions are non-tenure track, term-to-term appointments renewable up to four semesters. |
Position Description |
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing 18 semester hours of instruction per academic year .
- Maintaining at least 8 office hours per week.
- Working effectively, collaboratively, and professionally with faculty, staff, and students.
- Connecting students with institutional resources to promote student success and progression.

Required Education |
A minimum of a master's degree required in Biology or a minimum of a master's degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework
(completed by the anticipated date of appointment) is required. |
Preferred Qualifications/Experience |
Teaching experience is preferred. |

- The ability to teach Biology courses at the college level.
- The ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning
- The ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods and modalities.
- The ability to incorporate evidence-based pedagogy and/or innovative instructional technology in the discipline.
- The ability to maintain appropriate records.
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and computer skills.

Salary |
