The Research Administrator 2 will assist Principal Investigators (PIs) with the pre- and post-award administration of all funding sources, including gift contracts and grant funds. Under the general supervision of the Financial Operations Manager, the incumbent will work in partnership with a team of three analysts to manage over 250 fund sources within one large multi-disciplinary research and teaching unit. The Research Administrator will prepare agency-specific, multi-year budgets and coordinate the submission of proposals to multiple agencies; prepare comprehensive and detailed reports; assist faculty in planning for the effective and appropriate use of all their funds; ensure compliance with agency-specific terms and conditions, federal OMB circulars, and UC policy; and coordinate all aspects of Sales and Service funds.
The full salary range for the Research Administrator 2 is $35.88 to $52.44 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $35.88 to $37.34 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
