As a Security Officer Unarmed - Property Access in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while supporting tenants, visitors, and employees. Pay Rate: $17.32 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and document access-related activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access records while communicating professionally with property management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
