Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong math skills required, including calculations involving fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, weights, measurements, and unit conversions.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow formulas, batch sheets, and production instructions.
- Basic computer skills required for data entry and production documentation.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of batching, mixing, manufacturing, food production, beverage production, or related experience preferred.
- Experience weighing, measuring, and preparing ingredients according to formulas and specifications.
- Familiarity with batch records, quality documentation, and production reporting.
- Experience operating mixers, blending equipment, or other production machinery is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to accurately calculate ingredient quantities and batch requirements.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety, and sanitation practices preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor production or equipment issues.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move materials throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a food and beverage manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, and wet conditions.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or adjusted schedules as production demands require.
Job Duties
- Accurately weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients according to approved formulas and production schedules.
- Perform calculations involving ingredient quantities, ratios, percentages, weights, and measurements.
- Operate mixing and blending equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor blend times, temperatures, ingredient levels, and production specifications throughout the batching process.
- Complete batch records, production documentation, and ingredient traceability information accurately.
- Conduct quality checks and testing to verify product consistency, including pH, Brix, color, and taste.
- Monitor raw material inventory and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, and safety procedures at all times.
- Clean and sanitize batching equipment and production areas.
- Work closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve quality concerns and support production goals.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
