Your Job

Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products mill in Pennington, Alabama, is seeking a Materials Allocator. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring materials move efficiently through the manufacturing process, enabling safe, reliable production and exceptional customer service. You will manage raw material workflows within the Warehouse Management System (EWM), collaborate with multiple service groups, and serve as a key problem-solver for material flow and system challenges. As the on-shift subject matter expert, you will coach team members and support operational excellence through effective use of EWM, ICPAQ, and related systems.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates effectively with a variety of stakeholders, learns new systems quickly, and enjoys solving complex operational challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities

  • Ensure uninterrupted raw material flow by effectively managing Warehouse Management System (EWM) workflows and related applications.
  • Partner with internal and external customers, service groups, and operations teams to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Investigate material flow and system issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Anticipate and address potential service disruptions to maintain safe and reliable operations.
  • Utilize EWM, ICPAQ, Quality, and related systems to support inventory accuracy and operational performance.
  • Serve as the on-shift subject matter expert by coaching team members and providing guidance on EWM and ICPAQ processes.
  • Influence, coach, and support hourly personnel in achieving operational goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, or influence team members toward achieving business objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Proficiency in computer-based systems and applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn, apply, and teach new processes and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, military operations, or a related environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience leading or coordinating teams within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in material handling, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience utilizing SAP/EWM, ICPAQ, SharePoint, and/or Kronos.
