Position Summary

Job Description Summary:

Participate in project planning sessions with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Analysts and development team members to analyze business and technology requirements and outline the proposed technology solution. Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations. Work with Business Process Owners to investigate new functionality in Oracle applications. Work with Business Process Owner(s) to test and make changes to Oracle Applications setup or configurations to resolve issues. Review and understand business requirements for development tasks assigned. Develop new programs or make changes to existing programs, according to business requirements. This will be in the areas of, but not limited to: Reports, Forms, Interfaces, Alerts, Data Conversion. Develop test scripts and test maps/programs according to business requirements. Work on Oracle Application upgrades. Development of new EDI maps. Analyze trading partners specifications and building technical documents as per the requirements. Execute performance tuning of programs, screens and other objects when performance issues are reported. Work with business users to test programs in Development and Quality. Write technical documentation and user manuals. Work with DBA, System Administration teams to migrate programs to Quality and Production. Monitor EDI interfaces and critical programs in production systems for errors, performance and any other abnormalities. Provide first level support for EDI interfaces and assigned Oracle Applications modules. Troubleshoot and resolve problems reported by users. Investigate issues using vendor support website(s). Create tickets or service requests with software vendor. Develop scripts and other changes to programs to resolve issues. Investigate setup or configuration changes required in Oracle Application.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), IT/IS, Management (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained.

Must also have demonstrated experience in the following: Oracle Applications Developer or similar ERP applications with a focus on EDI tools and technologies; Application Object Library: Executables and Concurrent program setups, Alerts, Functions/Forms, Menus/Responsibilities, Profiles, and Document Attachments; Software development best practices, including version control, testing, and documentation; Oracle Applications environment - Application Object Library; Reports 10g, Forms 10g and SQL Loader; Development in Unix environment; Oracle RDBMS; Oracle ERP modules; SQL & PL/SQL; Unix Shell Scripting; Oracle Forms; Oracle Reports; XML Publisher; and Workflows.
