Position Summary

The Associate Director for Academic Appointments manages New York University's faculty appointment policies and procedures on behalf of the Office of the Provost. In accordance with University policies, the incumbent maintains records on faculty status (e.g., tenure) faculty, analyzes retirement eligibility, and oversees annual processes for full-time faculty. They advise and produce scheduled and ad hoc reports for faculty affairs leadership.


Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in higher education administration or another relevant field.

Required Experience:
5+ years of relevant professional-level experience administering procedures related to faculty appointments.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organization, project management, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong writing, research, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to negotiate solutions to complex and/or sensitive problems. Ability to communicate policies and procedures to a diverse population at all levels. Knowledge of standard office software.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with Interfolio, ACCESS database, and Workday.


Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00 to USD $130,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
