The Roth Lab is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a multidisciplinary research team focused on advancing our understanding of neural circuit function and developing innovative technologies for studying and treating disorders of the central nervous system. The successful candidate will conduct independent and collaborative research integrating molecular neuroscience, gene delivery technologies, viral vector engineering, neuropharmacology, and systems neuroscience.
This position will contribute to projects aimed at developing and applying novel approaches for neural circuit interrogation, targeted genetic manipulation, and translational neuroscience research. The candidate will have opportunities to lead research initiatives, publish in high-impact journals, present findings at national and international conferences, and assist in mentoring students and laboratory personnel.

Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following research areas:
Systems and Molecular Neuroscience
Viral Vector Development and Gene Delivery Technologies
Neuropharmacology
Neuroengineering
Neural Circuit Analysis
Behavioral Neuroscience
Strong scientific reasoning and experimental design skills.
Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Experience with viral vector engineering, including AAV technologies.
Expertise in molecular cloning, protein engineering, or synthetic biology.
Experience with in vivo neuroscience techniques, including rodent behavioral studies.
Familiarity with imaging, electrophysiology, or neuromodulation approaches.
Proficiency in computational data analysis and scientific programming.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative research environment.
