Education Requirements



  • Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and hands-on machining experience will be considered.
  • Training in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools is highly valued.


Experience Requirements



  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating and setting up CNC lathes, manual lathes, and vertical mills.
  • Proven experience programming and editing CNC machines using G-Code and M-Code.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience performing first-piece inspections and using precision measuring equipment.
  • Background troubleshooting machining, tooling, and production issues in a manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes, machining practices, and quality standards.
  • Understanding of metal properties, material selection, and machining applications.
  • Ability to optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency, quality, and production output.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting production deadlines.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be safety-focused and able to follow all workplace procedures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Job Duties



  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, manual lathes, vertical mills, and horizontal mills to manufacture precision components.
  • Program, edit, and optimize CNC machinery using G-Code and M-Code.
  • Perform machine setup, tooling adjustments, part indicating, and process monitoring.
  • Read blueprints and inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Conduct first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
  • Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.
