Job Description

Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift Join Our Team

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, installation, and continuous operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, working hands-on across multiple trades, and contributing to a safe and productive manufacturing environment.

Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of maintenance tasks involving the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and upkeep of machinery, equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure throughout the plant, office, laboratory, and surrounding property.

Key Responsibilities Electrical Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.
  • Work with electrical controllers and equipment ranging from 110V to 480V.
  • Install and run conduit as required.
Machine Repair
  • Diagnose and repair critical production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC, and mechanical systems.
  • Complete repairs efficiently and correctly to minimize downtime.
Pipefitting & Utilities
  • Thread and install piping of various sizes and materials.
  • Install and maintain:
    • Gas lines
    • Compressed air lines
    • Copper tubing
    • Hazardous chemical piping systems
    • Stainless steel, Inconel, PVC, and CPVC piping
Facility Maintenance
  • Perform basic carpentry, painting, and masonry work.
  • Execute routine welding repairs and fabrication projects.
  • Assist with minor HVAC system troubleshooting and repairs.
Additional Duties
  • Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced maintenance personnel.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Handle and accumulate hazardous waste in accordance with established regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications Required Skills & Experience
  • Extensive experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong electrical and electronics troubleshooting experience.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair critical production machinery.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and CNC systems.
  • General knowledge of HVAC systems and facility maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, from comfortable conditions to extreme heat or cold.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work safely at elevated heights.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands associated with industrial maintenance work.
Preferred
  • Additional technical education, vocational training, apprenticeship, or related applied theory coursework.
