Job Overview The Hearing Officer is the superintendent's designee in matters related to student discipline. The Hearing Officer conducts student disciplinary hearings; renders student disciplinary decisions (which could include long-term suspensions, reassignments, or expulsion recommendations); renders student sanction decisions for founded violations of Title IX; renders decisions on appeals of short-term suspensions; and collaborates to provide resources for, and staff development to, LCPS administrators and other stakeholders. Qualifications Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable. Education Master's degree Experience Five (5) years of experience supervision, administration, compliance, or related field Licenses and Certifications Postgraduate educational license with endorsement in school administration Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
