Allied Universal is hiring an Account Manager. As an Account Manager, you will lead the day-to-day security operations for a highly visible client, protecting people, property, assets, and business operations while building a high-performing security team. You will lead with professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment-assessing risks, managing incidents, strengthening client and employee relationships, and ensuring the account consistently delivers quality service and operational excellence. Why Join Allied Universal? RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead Security Operations: Own day-to-day account operations, ensuring the protection of people, property, assets, and business operations while maintaining high-quality security services
- Lead and Develop Security Teams: Hire, coach, develop, motivate, recognize, and retain security officers and supervisors while maintaining clear accountability and a strong customer service mindset
- Manage Risk and Incidents: Assess, identify, communicate, and manage security risks, operational issues, incidents, and emergency situations; make timely decisions and appropriately engage client and Allied Universal leadership when escalation or additional support is needed
- Strengthen Client Relationships: Serve as a trusted account leader and primary partner to client executives, business partners, employees, and visitors, communicating regularly regarding program performance, risks, incidents, staffing needs, emerging issues, and recommended solutions
- Support Client Culture and Mission: Develop a strong understanding of the client's business, culture, mission, operating environment, and security needs while fostering alignment between the client and Allied Universal
- Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure contract requirements, reporting, post orders, procedures, training, compliance expectations, and site-specific operating standards are consistently met
- Manage Staffing and Financial Performance: Meet contractual scheduled hours through effective management of staffing, scheduling, overtime, payroll, billing, and other operational processes while supporting financial goals
- Coordinate Training and Onboarding: Partner with recruiting and support teams to identify, interview, hire, onboard, and retain quality candidates; coordinate and/or conduct site-specific onboarding, on-the-job training, client-specific training, and annual refresher training
- Manage Resources and Readiness: Maintain appropriate inventories and readiness of uniforms, equipment, supplies, vehicles, and other account resources
- Use Business Systems: Utilize business systems, including WinTeam, for scheduling, billing, reporting, and operational management, interpreting information and taking appropriate follow-up action
- Maintain Compliance: Enforce Allied Universal policies and ensure employee concerns are appropriately addressed while maintaining accurate personnel records and account documentation
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE): - Four-year degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Security Management, or a related field preferred; a degree may be substituted with ten (10) years of proven security leadership experience in a corporate environment
- At least two (2) years of business management, operations, supervisory, or account leadership experience; additional experience may be required based on the size and scope of the client account
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing security officers, supervisors, or similar operational teams in a corporate, contract security, military, law enforcement, or facilities environment
- Proven ability to assess risk, manage incidents, solve problems, and make timely, sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with security teams, client stakeholders, executives, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership
- Professional presence and sound judgment when interacting with executives, business partners, employees, visitors, and emergency responders
- Proven ability to build trusted client relationships while maintaining a strong customer service mindset
- Demonstrated people-management skills, including the ability to hire, develop, motivate, inspire performance, and retain a quality security team
- Natural curiosity and willingness to understand the client's business, culture, mission, risks, operating environment, and security needs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, diverse employees, and evolving client requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership, acting independently, and demonstrating sound judgment
- Proficiency with web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Valid driver's license if driving a company vehicle or personal vehicle while conducting business
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE): - Previous contract security account management experience
- Previous payroll, billing, scheduling, or WinTeam experience
- Law enforcement, military, or facilities management experience
- Experience managing security programs within a corporate environment
- Knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and badge administration
- American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or related security certification
- Graduate of a certified public safety academy, such as Law Enforcement, Firefighter/Paramedic, or Corrections Officer
