As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Engagement in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, teamwork, and integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at utility locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions, unauthorized entry attempts, or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and documenting observations and actions.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
