About the Opportunity:

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Maintenance Laborer to support daily manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for maintaining the plant oil room, supporting machine fluid needs, handling chip and waste containers, operating facility cleaning equipment, and helping maintain a clean and safe production environment. This individual will ensure that oil room stays clean, organized, properly stocked, and safe; production areas are not allowed to accumulate full chip barrels; floors and designated areas are kept clean; and oil, coolant, and waste materials are handled safely and properly.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment, and able to work independently while responding to the needs of Maintenance and Production. oil room stays clean, organized, properly stocked, and safe; production areas are not allowed to accumulate full chip barrels; floors and designated areas are kept clean; and oil, coolant, and waste materials are handled safely and properly.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain adequate levels of oils, lubricants, coolants, and other approved fluids used throughout the facility.
  • Monitor oil drums and containers and refill or replace them as necessary to ensure fluids are readily available for production and maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the oil room, including drums, pumps, dispensing equipment, storage areas, floors, and spill-control materials.
  • Ensure oil drums and chemical containers are properly identified, labeled, closed, and stored in their designated locations.
  • Monitor chip barrels throughout the production areas and remove or empty full barrels as required.
  • Clean oil, coolant, chips, and other debris from work areas as necessary.
  • Maintain clear aisles, walkways, exits, and access to emergency and safety equipment.
  • Inspect the oil room and assigned areas for leaks, spills, damaged containers, or other unsafe conditions and report concerns promptly.
  • Maintain spill kits and other housekeeping supplies in designated locations.
  • Follow established procedures for handling oils, coolants, lubricants, metal chips, and waste materials.
  • Follow all applicable environmental, health, and safety requirements, including PPE, chemical handling, SDS, waste segregation, and spill-response procedures.
  • Assist Maintenance and Production personnel with the movement and distribution of oils, lubricants, and related materials as needed.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, drum-handling equipment, and other approved material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
  • Perform additional facility, housekeeping, and material-handling duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing, industrial, maintenance support, material handling, or facility experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience operating powered floor scrubbers or similar industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Experience handling oils, lubricants, coolants, drums, or industrial waste materials.

Working Conditions

This position works primarily in an active manufacturing environment and may be exposed to machinery, metal chips, oils, coolants, noise, heat, and other typical industrial conditions.

  • The employee must be able to:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and maneuver equipment.
  • Safely move drums, chip barrels, carts, and material-handling equipment using appropriate mechanical assistance.
  • Lift and carry up to 35 lbs as required.
  • Wear safety glasses, safety footwear, gloves, hearing protection, and other PPE as required.
