Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

Shift:1st shift (Generally starts as early as 5:45 PM) Option to work Sundays

Requirement: Strong attendance and punctuality are essential. Employees must remain in position for a minimum of one year and successfully complete a 90-day evaluation period.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE...

As a Sanitation Technician / Equipment Cleaner, you will play a critical role in maintaining food safety, equipment reliability, and production efficiency. You will ensure production equipment and work areas meet sanitation and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across the facility.

WHAT YOU WILL DO...

  • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, inspect, and reassemble production equipment following established procedures and sanitation standards.
  • Work in hot environments, including steam rooms, while maintaining quality and safety expectations.
  • Maintain assigned production and facility areas in accordance with sanitation, SQF, HACCP, CTS, SOP, safety, and hygiene requirements.
  • Analyze equipment performance and identify issues impacting production quality or efficiency.
  • Submit detailed SAP work orders and complete/close work orders daily.
  • Communicate effectively with incoming and outgoing shifts regarding unfinished tasks, equipment concerns, and special requests.
  • Transport product scrap containers throughout the facility, including pushing and pulling loads up to 800 pounds using wheeled equipment.
  • Operate forklifts and maintain required licensing/certification.
  • Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform work at heights using ladders as required.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational and equipment-related issues.
  • Develop and follow through on action plans to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Maintain work areas in accordance with 5S standards for cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping.
  • Support plant safety initiatives and comply with all required safety practices and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment and support overtime requirements when business needs dictate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE... (MUST HAVE)

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing, sanitation, maintenance, or industrial cleaning experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and sanitation standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand basic equipment functions and identify operational issues.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively exchange information across shifts and teams.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively prioritizing daily tasks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Ability to work in hot, wet, noisy, and industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights safely.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy wheeled loads.
  • Commitment to food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Ability to remain in the position for a minimum of one year due to training requirements.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE... (NICE TO HAVE)

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.
  • Experience working with SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Prior forklift operating experience.
  • Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment and identifying root causes of equipment performance issues.
  • Experience working in highly regulated manufacturing environments with strict sanitation and quality requirements.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
