The Clinical House Supervisor provides clinical leadership and operational oversight to support the delivery of high-quality, efficient patient care across the hospital 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This role serves as a clinical nursing expert, spending the majority of time coordinating, supporting, and ensuring direct patient care activities throughout the organization. Key responsibilities include conducting nursing rounds, supporting patient assessments and treatments, facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges, coordinating care, and promoting individualized treatment planning and patient- and family-centered education.

The Clinical House Supervisor also collaborates with hospital leadership and Risk Management to address patient safety and risk concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up. The position responds to operational issues, complaints, and concerns while promoting a safe, supportive, and healing environment for patients, families, and team members.

In addition, the Clinical House Supervisor serves as a resource for key organizational systems and processes and provides guidance and support to clinical teams to help maintain effective hospital operations and continuity of patient care.

Job Description:

• Provides hospital-wide clinical and administrative oversight to support safe, high-quality patient care.
• Serves as a clinical, educational, and administrative resource for nursing staff, physicians, and hospital departments.
• Coordinates staffing and resources based on patient acuity, census, staffing needs, and available personnel.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership and appropriate departments to support patient placement, bed utilization, transfers, and discharges.
• Provides leadership and oversight during emergency and code situations according to established protocols.
• Supports patient care and hospital operations after hours and on weekends, involving the Administrator on Call and department leadership as appropriate.
• Identifies and communicates patient safety, risk management, staffing, and performance concerns for appropriate follow-up.
• Responds to patient, family, physician, and employee concerns and assists with timely resolution.
• Demonstrates effective leadership, coaching, and decision-making while promoting a compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required - BSN
• A current license from the Kentucky Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
• 3 years Registered Nursing experience required
• Basic life support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don't have it already.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
