Security Technician Description Access Control and Fire Alarm This is with a family owned company is consistently nationally ranked in the top 30 in a widely recognized Industry publication, Security Distributing & Marketing Magazine (SDM). The publication ranks the top 100 Security Dealers in the Country on an annual basis. We have a need for a low voltage Installation and Service technician with experience installing home automation, burglar and fire alarm systems. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill level. Position Details: The primary role of this position is to install, test, inspect service, troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems and devices. Job Responsibilities: Services, troubleshoots and repairs low voltage systems, wiring and devices. Test and Inspection of fire alarm systems Installation of CCTV , Security alarm and Access control systems Programming of systems when needed Educate and train end users on system operation and functionality. Maintains the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools). Ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks. Utilize our field service units (IPAD) for documentation of service a Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner. Posses a strong work ethic with attention to detail Minimum Qualifications (Education, Skills & Experience): Must have solid experience in the low voltage industry. Must have knowledge of trouble shooting low voltage systems Must have a working knowledge of local/national codes. Must be able to read plans, use a variety of tools and install panels, boxes and wiring accordingly. OSHA 10 or higher is preferred Must have a valid driver's license.
