Ignite Digital is looking for a Configuration Manager III for the Charleston, SC area to support a cybersecurity project for the U.S. Navy. The Configuration Manager III is a senior technical specialist who oversees configuration management activities across highly complex projects. This role requires extensive experience in equipment, software, and systems inventories; configuration tracking and control; documentation support; and technical oversight of configuration workflows. The ideal candidate can supervise teams, establishing disciplined CM processes, and ensure precise tracking and documentation of all configuration changes across assigned programs.

Responsibilities:



  • Conduct periodic site inventory to create and maintain accurate inventories of equipment, software, and systems.
  • Prepare, maintain, and inventory technical drawings for assigned projects.
  • Research data and create/maintain inventory and technical databases for active workstreams.
  • Prepare configuration change requests and verify, track, and document all configuration changes.
  • Perform logisticrelated tasks, including shipping, receiving, tracking, and disposal of equipment/software/systems.
  • Coordinate equipment and software utilization among users to ensure availability, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Provide documentation support, ensuring all configuration artifacts meet program standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on drawings and documentation produced by other CM specialists.
  • Serve as task or team lead, supervising configuration management staff and ensuring adherence to CM processes and best practices.
  • Provide training in configuration management processes, tools, and systems.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science
  • Candidate must be eligible for DoW TS/SCI upon hiring
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of directly related experience in configuration management and support.
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration management, including experience with CM software support packages commonly used in project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct the work of others and to serve as a technical task or team lead.
  • Experience supporting DoW programs or government technical environments
  • Familiarity with CM Pro, CMPRO, or similar configuration management software
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and customersupport mindset
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical teams



Salary: $95k+ to align with education and experience.
