This dining facility operates 7 days a week , with employees working a 6-day schedule and shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Join a team that takes pride in serving those who serve our country.

Job Summary

Work under the direction of the Supervisor - Cafeteria Zone. Work under general supervision and follow prescribed steps after receiving instructions as how to do the work. Supervisor - Cafeteria Zone observes the work to determine whether it is performed properly.

Primary Duties

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Replace glassware, dishes, and silverware and refill condiment containers. Wipe and wash tables and countertops
  • Clean work area, utensils, and equipment; remove garbage; mop floors, walls, windows, and tables
  • Use chemical solutions and operate electric dish washing machine and or wash glassware, pots and pans and kitchen utensils by hand
  • Assist in areas as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain in a sanitary condition- equipment and work areas, utensils, and tables
  • Perform a wide variety of manual tasks in kitchen or dining area of a food activities, which involves light to moderate physical effort and is done according to established procedures
  • Perform ware-washing, and keep pot and pan areas in order prior to, during and after meals
  • Notify supervisor immediately of malfunctioning, inoperative, unsafe, or hazardous equipment cleaned or used

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred
  • No previous food service experience is required
  • Must pass a military installation background check required

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Well-organized and self-directed team player
  • The ability, after training, to serve customers at an efficient pace while providing friendly customer service
