Director Business Development & Customer Relations Must Reside in Alabama, Mississippi or Florida $90,000 to $110,000 DOE The Director Business Development and Customer Relations is responsible for developing, securing and maintaining successful business development initiatives and contracting within the assigned area. Continuously develop, implement, and enhance integrated business development and operational strategies in order to ensure AMR's competitive and successful place in the local markets. Ensure superior customer relations through regular visits with contracted and prospective clients. Arrange for providing education, marketing support and services that will contribute to the success of local community relations. Maintain strong working relationships with GMR consultants, state EMS associations, state hospital associations, and other political stakeholders at the state and local levels. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and implement annual Business Development Plan with focus on budgeted and actual growth in revenues and new business.
- Maintain professional and technical business development relations and contracting knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
- Monitor contract performance and business development initiatives per operating location on a regular basis and report assessment to VP of Operations.
- Regularly meet with perspective clients to understand service issues, needs, Act in conjunction with local operational leadership as an "advocate" for customers.
- Participate in short and long-term action plans based on the needs of the divisional business development strategies and the client base.
- Participate in regularly scheduled communications applicable governmental affairs meetings.
- Attend meetings, client functions, and sponsorship activities to enhance the image of AMR while strengthening customer relations.
- Provide direction to operational leadership on all contracting to ensure compliance and EBITA expectations are met.
- Maintain Divisional contract database, to include applicable rate increases in a timely manner consistent with contract language.
- Responsible for working with Community/Public Relations towards securing and implementing value-added promotions and coordinating sponsorships of local and national events (e.g. EMS week).
- Coordinate, write and produce responses to Divisional Requests for Proposals (RFP's) for new or current business.
- Coordinate and write stories for AMR's corporate newsletter, Insight.
- Responsible for working with Community/Public Relations and operational leadership in accepting or rejecting donations and/or sponsorships with the appropriate follow-up.
- Act as liaison with company-selected charities on yearly basis and coordinate employee involvement if applicable.
- Collaborate with regional directors to coordinate conference participation
- Assist with script writing and presentation materials for presentation at conferences
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- BA in Business or equivalent experience required.
- A Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in securing and maintaining cost effective contracts and new business in a managed care environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years doing public and preferably customer relations.
- Knowledge of pro-forma development and budget tracking required.
- EMS experience required
- Must reside in MS, AL, or FL panhandle
