About the Role
We are seeking a Break Relief to join our team at our Alsip, IL bakery. As a Break Relief, you will be accountable for providing operational support across multiple production functions to ensure uninterrupted workflow, consistent product quality, food safety compliance, and efficient bakery operations. This role is essential in maintaining production continuity while supporting team performance and adherence to company standards.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 3rd Shift
- Hours: 7:45 PM - 6:15 AM
- Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday
- Overtime: Possible overtime on Thursday
- Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $22.00
Core Accountabilities (What You'll be Doing)
- Provide break relief coverage across multiple production functions to maintain operational efficiency.
- Perform production activities in compliance with food safety, quality, legality, and GMP requirements.
- Complete accurate production, waste, and operational documentation.
- Operate production equipment and workstations safely while following established SOPs.
- Monitor products and processes to ensure compliance with company quality and production standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and production team members to support continuous operations.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing, production, or transferable work experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to learn and perform multiple production job functions.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow GMPs, food safety, allergen, food defense, HACCP, and safety requirements.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on production lines for extended periods, including shifts of 8 hours or more.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds periodically throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Experience in the food manufacturing or bakery industry.
- Experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and quality systems.
- Experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
