A Brief Overview This position will be responsible for performing a wide variety of communications activities including assisting with drafting, editing and distributing website, social media, and newsletter content with support and direction from more senior team members.
This position also is responsible for coordinating logistics and planning of special events or speaker/webinar/lecture series.
What you will do
- Maintain/edit the Center/Department's website content
- Support writing of blog posts, policy tools and other materials
- Assist with executing strategic internal and external communications plans utilizing social media, newsletters, video production, webinars and other communications channels
- Provide general support to the execution of the Center/Department's operations agenda
- May organize events, including special events and/or volunteer opportunities
- Conduct other duties as assigned
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree - Required
Experience Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of communications, special events, business and/or operations experience - Required
- At least two (2) years of communications experience - Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Solid time management skills
- Solid organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

$58,300.00 - $72,900.00 Annually
