As a Senior Sales Analyst, you are at the heart of driving strategic sales growth by transforming market intelligence into actionable insights. This role blends analytical rigor with cross functional collaboration. You support sales teams in launching new products, optimizing performance, and identifying opportunities across key categories like bacon, ham, and fresh pork. You monitor sales and trade trends, evaluate sales against targets, and craft compelling reports that influence planning and execution. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Business Management, and Operations, you help shape data driven decisions that fuel long-term customer success and elevate our market presence.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Sales Planning & Support: Coordinate and analyze sales planning and administrative activities, ensuring alignment between field sales, business management, and trade teams to drive strategic execution and operational efficiency.

  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Compile, analyze, and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports-including margin, pricing, fill rates, shipment performance, and KPIs-transforming raw data into actionable insights that enhance sales productivity.

  • Forecasting & Budget Management: Manage forecasting inputs and budget tracking by compiling historical data, projecting future expenditures, and maintaining accurate, user-friendly forecasting tools for field sales teams.

  • Systems & Tools Optimization: Develop and maintain reports using BI tools, SAP, and Blacksmith Trade Planning, while serving as a liaison with the help desk to support hardware/software initiatives and troubleshoot field sales tech issues.

  • Customer & Broker Relations: Act as a key contact in the Orders to Cash process, managing broker contracts, retail execution coordination, couponing, scorecards, and customer-specific inquiries to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Event & Initiative Coordination: Support the planning and execution of meetings, food shows, and special events, ensuring all logistics and communications are aligned to maximize impact and engagement across stakeholders.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field, and 5+ years' experience in data analytics; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Excel and Access (e.g. formulas & functions, data organizing, pivot tables, power query, macros, advanced data charting).

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Demonstrated excellence in problem-solving and analytical thinking.

  • Communication & Interpersonal: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while fostering positive working relationships.

  • Organizational & Customer Service: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintain positive work relationships in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Experience in Business Warehouse, SAP, Blacksmith, Vistex, or Sales Discovery preferred

  • Familiarity with Nielsen/IRI and other syndicated data, a plus.
