The Sea, Land, Air Analysis Group's mission is to deliver objective analyses, plans and strategies to US Navy, US Marine Corps, USAF, other DoD, and Australian Defence Force clients to support technology development, acquisition, delivery and sustainment decisions. The group provides the core of SPA thought leadership on Undersea Strategy, Software Development and Cost Estimating, with additional benchmark capabilities in AI/ML & Decision Analytics, Modeling and Simulation, and Future Force Assessments. SPA has a need for a Legislative Policy Analyst to provide research, analysis, and staff support on Congressional activities affecting AF/A10's portfolio. This role helps leadership stay ahead of legislative developments and prepare for engagements with Congress and staff. Responsibilities The Legislative Policy Analyst monitors Congressional hearings, markups, and reports related to nuclear enterprise, CWMD, arms control, and foreign clearance issues. They prepare weekly legislative status updates, synopsis reports, and ad hoc briefings that explain how proposed legislation and oversight may impact AF/A10 priorities. They help maintain a central repository of official statements, QFR responses, and posture materials. They also assist in drafting talking points, issue papers, and briefing materials for senior leader engagements, in coordination with SAF/LL and other stakeholders.
