Senior Medical Affairs Specialist

Location: Acton, MA (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite Per Week)

Pay: Up to $87.00/hour

We are seeking a Senior Medical Affairs Specialist to support global medical communications, scientific strategy, and clinical data dissemination within the diabetes and medical device space. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in Medical Affairs, scientific communications, clinical research, healthcare compliance, and evidence-based medicine.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver scientifically accurate medical responses to healthcare provider inquiries.
  • Review clinical and promotional materials to ensure compliance with medical, scientific, and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze clinical evidence, treatment trends, and healthcare data to support medical and business strategies.
  • Collaborate with Clinical, Commercial, Regulatory, and cross-functional teams on scientific communications and evidence generation initiatives.
  • Support the development of clinical summaries, data dissemination plans, and scientific conference activities.
  • Translate complex clinical data into clear, meaningful insights for healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with global healthcare regulations, industry guidelines, and medical information standards.
  • Partner with external vendors to support data management systems and process optimization.
  • Contribute to ongoing innovation and improvements in patient care through evidence-based recommendations.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, clinical research, scientific communications, healthcare, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of clinical data interpretation, medical writing, and healthcare compliance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and medical information systems preferred.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or healthcare credential (RN, PA, NP, PharmD, RD, etc.).
  • Experience in diabetes care, medical devices, or related therapeutic areas.
  • Global Medical Affairs experience within pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
