About The Role

Summary:

The Loan Assistant III serves as a critical support partner to the Commercial Lending team, assisting Loan Officers, Portfolio Managers, Credit, and Loan Operations throughout the entire loan lifecycle. This role requires strong communication, organization, multitasking, and customer service skills while working closely with internal teams, customers, attorneys, title companies, insurance providers, and other third-party vendors. Travel for loan closings, meetings, and branch coverage may be required.

The compensation pay range for this position is $$73,865.00 - $82, 555.00 annually. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate commercial loan closings, including commercial real estate, commercial & industrial, and residential real estate-secured commercial loans.
  • Gather, review, and organize documentation required for Clear to Close (CTC) approval.
  • Submit complete loan files for document preparation, booking, and collateral recording.
  • Review draft loan documents for accuracy and compliance with approvals, policies, and entity requirements.
  • Assist with construction advances, loan advances, loan payments, DDA transfers, and loan-related wire transfers.
  • Order and review title commitments, flood certifications, and UCC searches.
  • Understand title requirements, title exceptions, and settlement statements.
  • Verify loan equity contributions, special conditions, and covenant requirements before closing.
  • Support exception tracking and resolution of missing or expired loan documentation.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between lenders, customers, attorneys, title companies, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Assist customers with loan service requests and deposit account-related processes.
  • Maintain strong communication and provide timely follow-up throughout the loan process.
  • Scan and image loan and customer documents into nCino DocMan, Synergy, and other systems using proper naming conventions and placeholders.
  • Maintain accurate loan records and support collateral documentation management.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with bank policies and applicable regulations, including BSA/AML, CRA, HMDA, OFAC, GLBA, SOX, FHLB, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of all Collegiate Peaks Bank products and services.
  • Perform notarial duties as a commissioned Colorado Notary Public.
  • Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.

About You

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 4+ years experience in Commercial Loan Real Estate and Commercial Loan Assistant Role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge and understanding of residential developer, commercial and real estate loan administration
  • Commercial Loan processing and closing knowledge
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Jack Henry Silverlake, Laser Pro and Encino platform
  • Ability to apply logical or critical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with others in a clear, thorough and timely manner
  • Must be able to organize, monitor and respond to a high volume of emails daily, both internal and external
  • Demonstrate a high level of organization, ability to prioritize and multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy, manage multiple projects, demonstrate self-motivation and ability to follow through with tasks
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others; work to develop and maintain cooperative and positive working relationships; represent the bank in a positive manner and maintain credibility with others
  • Ability to produce work within directed timeframe without compromising integrity or quality of work
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding any information obtained during the course of performing job duties; adhere to Bank policies and procedures regarding confidentiality

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. We offer an extensive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Most Full-Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro-rated paid holidays.
