Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Vice President, Implementations is responsible for leading Acentra Health's enterprise implementation function, ensuring successful transition of new contracts and major program initiatives from contract award through operational readiness, go-live, and stabilization. This executive leader establishes implementation strategy, governance, methodologies, and operational standards that enable consistent, high-quality delivery while supporting exceptional client experiences.

Reporting to the General Manager, EVP the Vice President partners closely with Growth, Operations, Product, Technology, Clinical, Finance, Contracts, and executive leadership to ensure implementation activities align with contractual commitments, client expectations, organizational readiness, and business objectives. This role serves as the executive sponsor for implementation governance, proactively managing risks, resolving complex issues, and ensuring seamless transition of programs into steady-state operations.

* Lead the enterprise implementation function, establishing implementation strategy, governance, methodologies, and operational standards that promote consistent, high-quality delivery.

* Oversee the implementation portfolio, ensuring projects are executed on schedule, within scope, and in alignment with contractual commitments, organizational priorities, and client expectations.

* Partner with Growth, Solutions, and Product teams during business development activities to develop implementation approaches, resource strategies, timelines, and transition plans that support proposal development and client success.

* Analyze RFP requirements to identify implementation deliverables, resource needs, risks, assumptions, and implementation timelines.

* Participate in client presentations, solution demonstrations, implementation planning discussions, and executive meetings during the sales and transition process.

* Lead implementation planning activities following contract award, ensuring organizational readiness, resource alignment, governance structures, and implementation plans are established.

* Partner with Operations, Clinical, Product, Technology, Finance, Contracts, and Shared Services to ensure successful implementation planning, execution, and operational readiness.

* Provide executive oversight throughout implementation, including planning, design, configuration, testing, training, operational readiness, go-live, and stabilization activities.

* Ensure implementation plans, communication strategies, quality plans, risk management processes, and governance routines are executed effectively.

* Identify implementation risks, dependencies, and barriers while facilitating timely resolution of complex issues and executive escalations.

* Serve as the executive sponsor for implementation governance, leading executive steering committees, client governance meetings, and implementation reviews.

* Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive client stakeholders, ensuring proactive communication, responsiveness, and alignment throughout the implementation lifecycle.

* Partner with Product and Technology leadership to align implementation schedules with product configuration, enhancements, integrations, and system readiness.

* Oversee successful transition of implemented programs into ongoing operations, ensuring knowledge transfer, operational readiness, and client satisfaction through stabilization.

* Establish implementation performance metrics, dashboards, executive reporting, and key performance indicators to monitor delivery performance, implementation health, resource utilization, and client outcomes.

* Evaluate implementation methodologies, tools, templates, governance practices, and delivery models to improve efficiency, quality, and client experience.

* Leverage automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and technology solutions to improve implementation effectiveness and operational performance.

* Partner with Product leadership to provide implementation feedback that informs future product enhancements and roadmap priorities.

* Develop and promote implementation best practices, knowledge management resources, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

* Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing implementation organization while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.

* Support financial planning, resource management, vendor coordination, and implementation budgeting to ensure successful execution of enterprise implementation initiatives.

  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ of progressive leadership experience in implementation, program delivery, project management, operations, or healthcare technology.
  • 10+ of executive or senior leadership experience managing enterprise implementations or complex client delivery organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale healthcare, technology, or government program implementations.
  • Experience supporting federal, state, or Medicaid healthcare programs and government contracting environments.
  • Strong knowledge of implementation methodologies, governance, organizational change management, and operational readiness.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence executive stakeholders.
  • Exceptional client relationship management, executive communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong financial, operational, and business acumen with experience managing implementation budgets, resource planning, and delivery performance

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare technology implementations, SaaS platforms, or enterprise software delivery.
  • Experience supporting RFP responses, solution design, and implementation planning during the sales lifecycle.
  • Experience leading organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled implementation tools, workflow automation, and implementation analytics.

Experience developing implementation governance frameworks, executive dashboards, and operational performance metrics..

Experience in Lieu of Degree

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
