Job Summary:

The Checker II is responsible for verifying order accuracy within a fast-paced food distribution environment. This role ensures all products are properly selected, documented, and approved prior to shipment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify orders using SWMS (Client's Warehouse Management System) sheets
  • Ensure all selected products match order requirements accurately
  • Tag outgoing pallets to signal readiness for loading
  • Transfer product dates and information to warehouse pull sheets
  • Obtain Market Manager approval for short-dated products and notify the warehouse supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness and assist with general warehouse housekeeping
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Work Environment
  • Refrigerated warehouse environment (approximately 35F)
  • Fast-paced food distribution facility
  • Prolonged standing required



Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 10-25 lbs
  • Comfortable working in cold temperatures (35F)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Steel-toe boots required

Experience & Day-to-Day Duties:

  • 3-5 Years of Experience.
  • Checkers will verify the order has been selected accurately by using sheets generated from the Client's warehouse management system (SWMS).
  • Tag all outgoing pallets so a loader is signaled he can load.
  • Transfer all dates and information to the warehouse pull sheet.
  • Obtain market manager's approval when the product is short dated and notify the warehouse supervisor.
  • Verify all customer orders have been selected accurately by utilizing pull sheets generated from the warehouse management system.
  • This will include dates (if applicable), quantities, correct pack size and description.
  • Cleaning and assisting in the cleanliness of the warehouse.
  • Candidate must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Checkers will then tag all outgoing pallets to prepare them for loading. Once this is complete, Checkers will transfer all dates and information to warehouse pull sheet. If short dated product is included in the load, the Checker will obtain management approval to ship. Clean work area.
