Location: This position is open only to candidates who currently reside within the Western United States. Applicants must reside within this region to be considered for the role and must be able to work a schedule of 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Pacific Time. Are you someone who builds relationships, solves problems, and enjoys being the person who keeps things moving? As a Customer Support Specialist (CSS), you'll be an important part of delivering a great customer experience while helping drive the business forward. You'll partner closely with Account Executives, customers, contractors, designers, operations teams, and other internal partners to manage opportunities and projects from the early stages through order placement and delivery. This isn't a role where you're simply responding to requests. You'll be expected to take ownership, anticipate needs, solve problems, and help move projects forward. You'll become knowledgeable about our products, systems, customers, and processes, while working as part of a collaborative Customer Service team focused on making it easier for customers to do business with us. What You'll Do * Own accurate and timely order entry while developing the knowledge and skills to support the full Customer Success process. * Help customers navigate product availability and installation schedules, including reviewing inventory, providing order status updates, identifying alternatives, and recommending color or product options when needed. * Build relationships with customers and industry partners, including our Account Executives, Flooring Contractors, General Contractors, Architects, Designers, and End Users across segments such as corporate, healthcare, higher education, and K-12. * Develop strong product and application knowledge and help customers identify products appropriate for their spaces and project requirements. * Work cross-functionally with Planning, Logistics, Credit, Sales, and other teams to resolve issues and keep orders and projects moving. * Coordinate freight requirements for expedited shipments or customer-specific carriers and partner with warehouse and logistics teams to obtain accurate freight costs. * Support international orders and coordinate customs-related requirements when applicable. * Look for ways to make the customer experience better, including identifying process improvements and using technology, AI, and automation to work more efficiently. What You'll Bring * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * A customer-first mindset and the confidence to communicate directly with customers and internal partners. * A strong sense of ownership and accountability. You don't wait for someone else to solve the problem. * A collaborative, team-oriented approach. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity. * Technical aptitude and the ability to learn and retain product specifications, applications, installation requirements, and processes. * Comfort learning and working across multiple technology platforms. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. * A willingness to embrace AI, automation, and new technology to improve productivity and the customer experience. We'd Especially Like to See * Experience supporting customers in commercial interiors, flooring, construction, manufacturing, or a related industry. * Understanding of the commercial construction process and project timeline. * Experience working in a CRM platform such as Salesforce. * Experience working in an ERP platform such as JD Edwards. * Experience reading or interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, or takeoffs. * Familiarity with freight, logistics, inventory management, or international shipping and customs processes. What Success Looks Like You'll be successful in this role when: * Customers see you as a trusted, responsive partner. * Account Executives see you as a proactive extension of the sales team, not simply someone who processes requests. * Orders are entered accurately and on time. * Projects and opportunities are actively managed rather than waiting for someone to ask for an update. * Potential issues are identified before they become customer problems. * You confidently navigate products, systems, inventory, logistics, and internal resources to find solutions. * You continually look for smarter, faster, and simpler ways of working. Physical Requirements * Ability to work at a computer and telephone for extended periods. * Regularly required to sit, stand, communicate verbally, and use a computer keyboard and related office equipment. * Ability to perform work requiring close visual attention, including computer-based work. #LI-Remote Learn more about Interface (NASDAQ: TILE) and our brands at interface.com and FLOR.com.
