Overview
We are seeking a dedicated part-time Breakfast Attendant to oversee the daily operations of our breakfast service and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving hot breakfast offerings, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, managing food ordering and inventory, completing monthly deep-cleaning tasks, and purchasing food and supplies. This position also provides the opportunity to collaborate with the Front Desk Manager in developing and implementing new breakfast menu offerings.

Schedule:

Availability to work 6:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m., up to five days per week, including one required weekend shift.

Employee Benefit:

One complimentary overnight stay per semester, based on hotel occupancy and availability.

On-Campus ACA Variable position. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. U.S. work authorization is required for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities
This position is for a part-time Breakfast Attendant to oversee all operations of our breakfast room.

This position requires you to prepare and serve our hot breakfast offerings, clean up, food ordering, inventory, monthly cleaning details, and complete shopping for the breakfast room using the University Inn van. The Breakfast Attendant will also have the opportunity to work alongside the Front Desk Manager to create new breakfast offering menus.

Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license to perform essential job responsibilities, such as driving university vehicles and transporting materials.
  • Ability to obtain a Utah State Food Handler Permit.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Food service experience preferred.

Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. This position requires nearly continuous standing, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead. Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
