Position Overview

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to support our Motion Control Systems (MCS) business in Radford, VA. In this role, you will lead the application of the Regal Business System (RBS) to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth (SQDCG) performance across the site.

You will work closely with site leadership and frontline teams to identify improvement opportunities, lead problem-solving efforts, and ensure continuous improvement tools are effectively applied and sustained. This role requires a hands-on, floor-focused leader who can drive results while building capability within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that support Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth (SQDCG) performance

  • Partner with site leadership to develop and execute a practical CI roadmap aligned to business priorities

  • Lead problem-solving efforts with operations teams to address performance gaps and improve KPIs

  • Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and on-the-floor improvement activities (Gemba-focused)

  • Apply and coach teams on Lean tools, including 5S, flow, standard work, visual management, and root cause problem solving (5 Whys)

  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience

  • Support deployment of daily management systems and reinforce leader standard work

  • Track key metrics and ensure visibility of performance through visual management and reporting

  • Partner cross-functionally (operations, engineering, quality, and commercial teams) to drive alignment and execution of improvement priorities

  • Help build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement across the site

Required Skills and Qualications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field

  • 7+ years of professional experience in Manufacturing or Program Management, specifically around Continuous Improvement or Lean

  • Demonstrated experience in mixed-model, low-volume/high-mix manufacturing environments

  • Proven ability to implement and manage CI performance metrics, KPIs, and cost savings initiatives

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making

  • Experience coaching teams on structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 5 Whys, root cause analysis)

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the plant floor

  • Experience influencing without authority and leading change

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Skills and Qualications

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS Engineering, or related field)

  • Experience with Danaher Business System (DBS) or similar Lean operating systems

  • Experience implementing and assessing Lean maturity models

  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies

  • Experience leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives

  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment

  • Strong facilitation and leadership development skills

This role may be filled at different levels depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and business needs.

Work Type

Work Type: Onsite - This role follows an Onsite Work Schedule and requires working from your designated Regal Rexnord office on a full-time basis. This role requires full-time presence at the Radford, VA facility.
