National Grid is hiring a Manager, Capital Project Delivery Hybrid, local to Waltham, Massachusetts. Job Purpose
We are seeking a seasoned professional who is passionate about building the energy infrastructure of the future. The individual will manage a small team focused on securing state highway, roadway, and transit-related permits for electric capital projects. The team will be responsible for understanding the company's current internal permit filing processes, exploring opportunities for cost and schedule efficiencies, and building positive relationships with internal stakeholders as well as permitting staff at select state agencies. This role will support project teams as the subject matter expert on permitting requirements, maintain regular contact with state permitting staff, as well as manage requests for escalation of certain permits from both internal and external stakeholders. Key Accountabilities
* Provide oversight to ensure high-quality permit applications are filed, paid, tracked and approved in a timely manner Knowledge & Experience Required: * Knowledge of agency permitting processes, particularly at the Massachusetts Departments of Transportation and Conservation and Recreation, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, and/or regional rail agencies Qualifications
