In this role, you'll explain the park's attractions with confidence and feel good knowing you enhanced the client experience! Please note that this position will require working various shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Some of the locations are in remote areas of the park. We Require
Six months of customer service/public contact experience High school diploma or GED A combination of post-secondary education and/orjob-related experience may substitute for theminimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements
May require regular vehicle travel between offsite locations, including other Maricopa County Parks or within the same park, of distances greater than 1 mile Walk to collect revenue in an outdoor climate with the possibility of temperatures over 100 degrees. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire

Job Contributions
Accurately collect day-use, camping, and other applicable fees using cash registers or point-of-sale systems. Sell daily, seasonal, and annual passes, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping. Welcome and assist park visitors by answering questions, offering guidance, and delivering information about park amenities, recreational opportunities, trails, and natural features. Monitor two-way radios and telephone systems for routine and emergency communications. Promptly report and document any emergency situations to the appropriate staff or law enforcement personnel. Conduct routine patrols of park facilities, including campgrounds and day-use areas, to ensure visitor compliance with park rules and regulations. Provide education and issue warnings when necessary. Explain park rules, natural resources, cultural history, and environmental policies to visitors to promote awareness, safety, and conservation. Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts. Perform daily reconciliation of receipts, process credit/debit transactions, and prepare deposits in accordance with park financial procedures. Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization, and performing light maintenance, in park offices, kiosks, and visitor service areas to ensure a welcoming and safe environment.
Working Conditions
The position typically involves office or administrative work and may be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness/humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and vibration while working outdoors Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel. Exerting 20-25 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software, and Hardware:Computers, Phones, Point-of-Sale Systems, General Office Equipment (copiers, staplers, laminators, etc.) Protective Equipment Required:Closed-Toe Shoes, Safety Reflective Vests
