What to Expect
We are looking for a Supply Chain Managerfor Flexible Printed Circuitsto drivecutting edgetechnologies across all our vehicles andspecial projects that arehighly innovative and fast paced. This position will focus on leading one of the most strategic categories and include managing a Global supply base,developingand owning supplier and partner relationships, defining the category and supply base strategy, management and negotiation of Supply Agreements and related contractual execution activities. An ideal candidate will have high ambition to grow within Tesla and bring high energy/impact to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate through ambiguities/difficult obstacles through collection of facts & data, advanced planning, evaluation of alternatives, open-mindedness, thought-through strategy, and superior communications to lead cross-functional organizations through sourcing activities.

What You'll Do
  • Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated,agreedand appropriately documented before business is initiated

  • Drive negotiation for piece price and product development to ensure that Tesla's pricing meets best-landed-cost expectations as well as Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality

  • Ensures contracts are drafted, negotiated, and executed well with key supplier partners

  • Drive continual cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives through price negotiations

  • Cover all areas ofFPCcomponentmanagement including business plans, market intelligence, technology roadmaps, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies

  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews

  • Participate in DFM reviews, change control meetings, and other technical discussions with Engineering and SIE partners and drive decisions from a cost and supply perspective

  • Understand technical drawings and specificationsof FPC'sand manufacturing processtradeoffs


What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, Business Development, Strategic Deals

  • Experience and knowledge in Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC) and associatedcomponentand assembly technologies

  • Strong understanding of costing concepts,i.e, cost reduction strategies, cost modelingetc

  • Experience in supplier evaluation/selectionand strong contract negotiation skills

  • Experience building relationships with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional partners and drive discussions around optimization of technical specifications, and features vs. value trade-offs

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management,Engineeringor equivalent experience

    Expected Compensation
    $88,000 - $198,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
