Content Design Producer, Music
We are currently seeking a freelance Content Design Producer to join a Music Content Design team within a global streaming and digital services organization. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the music experience for users worldwide by supporting innovative content initiatives, scaled design systems, playlists, and content sub-brands. This role will oversee end-to-end design development and production processes while partnering closely with design, strategy, editorial, production, and business teams to optimize workflows and deliver high-impact creative projects. This is a 3-month hybrid contract opportunity based in Culver City, CA.
Responsibilities
- Drive communications, workflows, project delegation, and approval processes across complex design initiatives
- Manage project prioritization, timelines, deliverables, and resourcing needs
- Create clear project briefs with defined goals, milestones, and schedules
- Navigate competing priorities and proactively mitigate production and scheduling challenges
- Handle day-to-day troubleshooting and resolution of production-related issues
- Collaborate with downstream production and publishing teams to support scaled content delivery
- Lead and participate in internal and cross-functional meetings with clear agendas and actionable follow-ups
- Partner with producer leads and creative teams to optimize workflows and improve project tracking processes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Editorial, Business, Production, and Design leadership teams
- Support forecasting and planning for major design system launches and initiatives
- Foster collaboration across functional teams to support innovation and successful project execution
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a design producer, project manager, or creative producer within a design, animation, production agency, or internal brand/product creative team
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
- Expertise in content creation and production workflows, ideally within subscription services, editorial, or media environments
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, timelines, and cross-functional communications
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and resource management skills
- Ability to proactively identify logistical, communication, and scheduling risks
- Experience collaborating closely with creative teams to bring concepts to life
- Strong understanding of how production decisions impact both creative output and business objectives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments with shifting priorities
- Music industry or music content experience is a plus
