Description

An exciting opportunity exists at Barnes Aerospace for an MRO Commercial Finance Business Partner on the Global Commercial and Sales Operations team. The Global S&C team is responsible for the Sales and Commercial Operations; from structuring and negotiating commercial deals to contract performance management. The MRO Commercial Finance Business Partner is an integral part of the Global S&C team to grow Barnes Aerospace. This role will act as a key financial partner to the MRO Sales and Commercial organization. This role will support the Global Commercial Finance Director in delivering robust financial analysis, executive-level decision support, and driving commercial process improvements across the repair (MRO) business.

Core Responsibilities:



  • Partner with Sales & Commercial teams on new MRO bids.
  • Prepare VP and President-level financial summaries and models.
  • Standardize financial outputs to improve consistency of VP Gate preparation across sites.
  • Support financial validation of bids prepared by sites.
  • Develop scalable modeling templates to reduce manual intervention.
  • Deliver financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and Executive teams.
  • Support financial escalation modeling (e.g., pricing escalations, margin impact).
  • Provide financial comparison analysis and scenario modeling in response to site and commercial requests.
  • Support finance-driven commercial decision making using internal and external insights.
  • Support 3-5 year strategic planning processes.
  • Provide pipeline analytics and pre-exit financial visibility.
  • Partner with Commercial Finance Director to translate sales pipeline into long-term financial outlooks.
  • Support transformation initiatives such as the Renewals process standardization.
  • Improve and formalize RASCI frameworks for finance gate preparation.
  • Develop handoffs to Genpact/shared services for scalable modeling support.
  • Drive continuous improvement in commercial finance processes.



Qualifications:



  • 5+ years' experience in an FP&A or commercial finance role in an aerospace or high-quality manufacturing industry or MRO environment.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capability.
  • Ability to present financial insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Preferably experience within the aerospace MRO environment (repair/aftermarket services).
  • Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Process-oriented mindset with ability to drive standardization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and service recovery skills.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with an ability to work effectively with operations, quality, engineering, sales, and commercial team members.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing data, priorities, and timelines.
