The Senior Project Manager is a strategic leader within the P3MO organization responsible for leading complex, highvisibility projects across the product lifecycle-from concept through commercialization and sustaining engineering. This role ensures that project outcomes meet business, regulatory, quality, and customer expectations through rigorous planning, governance, and crossfunctional leadership. The Senior PM operates with a high degree of independence, influencing project direction, guiding teams through ambiguity, enabling informed decisionmaking, and ensuring strong alignment with organizational strategy. Beyond leading their own projects, this role also contributes to the maturity of the PMO by improving processes, strengthening project discipline, and mentoring lessexperienced project managers. Job duties include:
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring objectives align with organizational goals and are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, risk assessments, and resource allocations, ensuring compliance with group standards and best practices.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication and engagement across diverse teams and locations to promote collaboration and transparency.
- Implement proactive risk and opportunity management processes to mitigate issues and leverage favorable conditions.
- Support project teams with methodologies, tools, and best practices, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participates in direct strategic project planning, change control and execution
- Aligns project goals with organizational strategy
- Resolves high impact issues and remove roadblocks
- Ensures portfolio-level resource and risk management
- Shapes business cases, charters, and benefit tracking
- Manages high-stakes stakeholder negotiations
- Leads cross-site, multi-country team coordination
- Contributes to efficiencies and innovations in PMO process
- Trains and coaches junior PMs
- Aligns project execution with strategic business decisions
- supports strategic decisions impacting multiple projects
- Resolves conflicts across projects or departments
- Business case development and approval strategy
- Coordinate with departments on selection of team members to participate in projects
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7+ years' experience in program/project management within a PMO or similar environment, including leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects, driving governance, and working with senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience in a regulated environment, ideally within IVD, medical device, or life sciences, with strong knowledge of design control, quality systems (ISO13485), and regulatory requirements (FDA, IVDR, CE).
- Proven track record managing new product development (NPD) or product lifecycle projects from concept through launch, with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and compliance.
- Skilled in presenting project updates and recommendations to senior leadership, using data-driven insights to support decision-making
- Hands-on experience with project and resource management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Planisware, or equivalent) to support planning, tracking, and reporting. Experience supporting tool implementation or optimization is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence without authority. Experience with mentoring junior project managers or team members is required.
- PMP Certification preferred

The estimated salary range for this role is between $118,000-$170,000. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
