Responsibilities

We are seeking a Test Systems Engineer to support testing and evaluation efforts across the NSG/ASG enterprise. In this role, you will execute application, system, and integration testing to ensure mission systems meet performance, reliability, and quality standards in support of timely and accurate GEOINT delivery.

Key Responsibilities
    Perform test and evaluation activities across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agency systems
  • Execute application and API testing within DevOps pipelines, leveraging established QA standards and industry best practices
  • Conduct independent integration testing of software and hardware to validate compliance with system requirements
  • Develop, execute, and maintain manual test cases and automated test scripts
  • Support defect identification, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis during test cycles
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile and DevOps environments

Location: This opportunity is fully onsite in either Chantilly or Springfield, VA



Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related STEM field
    • Additional experience may be substituted: 4 years in lieu of degree, or 2 years with a non-STEM degree
  • 6+ years of experience supporting testing and/or systems integration within large, complex systems-of-systems or service-oriented architecture environments
  • Experience testing across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures
  • Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and traditional development and testing methodologies
  • Previous program or project experience with National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) or within the NSG/ASG environment
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant STEM discipline
  • Experience with tools such as JMeter, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee, GitHub/GitLab (or similar)
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Bash) and data formats (JSON, XML, SQL)
  • Experience working in AWS, C2S, or other cloud environments
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and software development frameworks

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
