Description Our client is actively looking to replace a consultant that has been working with them since 2020. This person will be supporting Metro Transit Authority busses across the Nashville market with their onboard camera systems. MTA has two bus station locations where this person will be reporting to do repairs, one in Donelson and one in Nashville. This person will receive all busses that will need to be repaired once a month, work with the MTA scheduler to determine when the bus will not be in operation and schedule a time to go out and do repairs. Repairs can range from a hardware issue, connectivity issue, IP related issues and potentially power. Their job will be to determine the issue upon arrival and repair that issue. In the event it is a hardware issue, this person will RMA the equipment, box it and ship it to the manufacturer and order a new camera. The cameras will be shipped to the consultants home or to the MTA station and installed upon receipt. This person will do most of their work between 6pm and 2am 40 hours a week, however they can work some busses during the day if the scheduler has them available and also could have to work some on the weekends if they fall behind on the monthly repairs. TEKsystems will provide this person a laptop to receive tickets, document information, upload pictures, do RMA's and scheduling. Will need all basic cabling hand tools, drill, multimeter to do the job. Our replacement will be trained by Sam and another technician for 4 weeks prior to being released. MTA does want this person to do the repairs quickly and timely so they will be gaged on their performance by the number of repairs they get done in a week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
